Cannot Access Temp Dir from Some Apps (C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local \Temp)
In Windows 7 RC I have problems with some applications being unable to access the temp directory, in my case:C:\Users\dave\AppData\Local\TempI am able to access the directory with other applications, e.g., a text editor, for read and write. Two of my programs that have problems include CuteFTP and Photoshop. Both of these use that directory to store temp files for certain operations. When I try to do one of those operations (e.g., in Photoshop, save a Smart Object; or, in CuteFTP, view a remote text file) I get an error message. Here's the error message from CuteFTP:---------------------------CuteFTP---------------------------You must be an administrator or have the appropriate permissions to perform this operation.Folder: "C:\Users\dave\AppData\Local\Temp".---------------------------OK Help ---------------------------I've tried running CuteFTP in 1) Compatibility mode 2) Administrator mode & 3) Compatibility mode with Administrator mode. None of these has helped. Is there something that can be done to avoid these errors?David Salahi
